Overview
This innovative commercial showcased the benefits of staying at Rixos the Palm, an all-inclusive resort, through a creative first-person perspective. The story followed the character of a younger sibling navigating a day at the resort, aiming to maximize happiness and activities while minimizing expenses. Unique visual elements like a “happiness bar” and a “money spent bar” tracked progress throughout the video, making Rixos the Palm the first hotel to bring this imaginative concept to life.
Challenges & Approach
To bring this concept to life, we used a mix of innovative tools and techniques. A custom first-person POV helmet rig was key to capturing the actor’s (me) experience throughout the day. We added visual effects to simulate computer graphics and seamless transitions, creating a playful, game-like feel. An FPV drone brought dynamic angles to the mix, adding variety and energy to the visuals. These combined efforts resulted in a campaign that truly set Rixos apart in the hospitality industry.
