Overview
I had the privilege of contributing to the launch campaign for OSN+ and HBO MAX Middle Eastern Division's House of the Dragon Season 1. Our challenge? To present the series in a fresh, innovative way—distinct from the marketing of Game of Thrones. The solution? Take one of Earth’s most breathtaking locations, AlUla, Saudi Arabia, and bring it to life with CGI animation. Our vision was bold: Dragons spotted flying in AlUla. This fusion of on-site footage captured from both ground and sky, combined with advanced CGI, created a unique and immersive experience.
Challenges & Approach
Navigating a tight deadline, unpredictable weather in AlUla, and technical challenges with the dragons' 3D models, we pushed forward with determination and creativity. Filming on location for about a week in blistering 118°F heat, our small but talented team relied on expertise and innovation, showing that passion and skill can overcome any obstacle.
The Results
“OSN+ captured nearly 13 million views across all its platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, alongside an expansive influencer campaign across the region—YouTube saw nine million views for one video alone.” - Entrepreneur Middle East
